FORM XPR – Extreme Recess Cleat Adapters (Mid-foot / 3-hole)
The FORM Cleat Extender Plate XPR is the most advanced tool for achieving midfoot positioning. The XPR model allows for an extreme 20mm shift of the fulcrum towards the heel, drastically reducing peripheral muscle fatigue.
Important Note: If wider lateral adjustment (Q-Factor) is your priority, check out the FORM XPS model, which offers up to 10mm of horizontal offset.
TECHNICAL COMPARISON: FORM XPS vs. FORM XPR
| Characteristic | FORM XPS (Dual Focus) | FORM XPR (Aft Focus) |
|---|---|---|
| Longitudinal adjustment (Vertical) | 8mm back | 20 mm back |
| Side adjustment (horizontal) | 10 mm (medial/lateral) | 3 mm (medial/lateral) |
| Main goal | Q-Factor and Block Position Optimization | Extreme Mid-foot / Achilles Offload |
| Saddle lowering required | Usually not | Yes (key) |
POSITIVE EFFECTS AND BENEFITS
- Leverage Reduction: Shortens the foot leverage, which drastically reduces lower leg muscle fatigue.
- Achilles Offload: Transfers the load to larger muscle groups – glutes and quadriceps.
- Ultra & Triathlon Performance: Allows you to conserve energy for the final stages of your course or running leg.
- Eliminates Hot Spots: Reduces foot numbness and forefoot burning by changing the pressure point.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS (XPR)
| Vertical adjustment (Aft) | 20mm offset towards the heel |
| Horizontal adjustment (Lateral) | 3 mm (medial / lateral) |
| Thread mounting | 4mm T-nuts (M5 stainless steel) |
| Base plate | Flexible construction that adapts to the sole |
Important Note: Switching to the mid-foot position requires lowering the saddle to maintain proper knee angles. For full instructions, see FORM XPS/XPR Installation Guide .
