FORM Stainless M5 MTB – Reliable mounting in all conditions
FORM Stainless M5 MTB screws, made of A4-grade stainless steel, are designed for extreme off-road use. Thanks to the Torx T25 socket, these screws offer a significantly more secure connection and higher tightening torque than standard hex screws, which is crucial in MTB, Gravel, and CX disciplines.
System compatibility: The screws are fully compatible with Shimano SPD, Crank Brothers, and Time ATAC cleat systems. Note: The product is not compatible with the Look X-Track system.
APPLICATION IN BIOMECHANICS AND COMPENSATION (LLD)
When using shims to compensate for leg length discrepancies, standard screws included with cleats are too short to ensure a secure fit. FORM screws, with their increased length, guarantee:
- Deep thread engagement: Ensures cleat stability and prevents it from tearing out of the shoe sole during aggressive unclipping.
- Resistance to seizing: A4-grade stainless steel offers the highest resistance to corrosion and weathering, facilitating maintenance and cleat replacement after the season.
- Torx T25 precision: The Torx socket minimizes the risk of stripping the screw head, a common problem with screws soiled by mud or sand.
